injection sites
May 29, 2006

Hello-I just entered a study for the bio-injector -I had been using the hypodermic needles for 2 1/2 years and I have the battle scars. My question is, when I started with the hypo-dermic needles-I was told the injection sites were; the top of my thighs.back of my arms, love handles and the stomach area. The pharmacist has told me that I can also use my buttux and the sides of my thighs- Does this sound correct?I am heavly treatment experienced and I get nervous I will make a mistake-Thx

Response from Ms. Salisbury

Hi, Your pharmacist is correct. You can inject the Fuzeon into fatty tissue of the buttocks, sides of the thighs and even in your flanks (above your love handles). Your must be careful when using the bioinjector to use it carefully. I highly recommend you spend time with the study coordinators and discuss sites that are safe with the bioinjector. The bioinjecotor has a CO2 cartridge that delivers the Fuzeon with high pressure to the site you have chosen. The idea is to disperse the Fuzeon over a wider area causing less hard nodules (bumps) under the skin.

Good Luck with the study and I hope the bioinjector reduces your battle scars. Take care Carol
