Fuzeon Injection tips...
Apr 30, 2006

Dear Nurse Salisbury:

My name is Rick, I attended your Fuzeon group last Thursday. I asked about the avaialbility of your one slide which gives fuzeon injection tips. I am starting Fuzeon this week and would love to be able to print-out a copy for reference. Thank you, Ricky in Michigan

Response from Ms. Salisbury

Hi Rick, I hope this makes your injections smoother. 1. Fuzeon should never be injected in exactly the same site twice. Rotate sites. Remember arms, abdomen, love handles, buttocks, legs 2. Avoid injecting into scars, warts, cuts, nodules or inflamed areas. 3. Inject slowly over 1 minute. Put the bevel of the needle down. 4. Take a warm shower or tub bath prior to injection, it makes the skin more supple and soft. 5. Massage site before and after injection vigorously for 3 to 5 minutes. You can use a hand held massager. 6. Apply warm compress to injection site afterwards to assist in absorption. 7. Avoid wearing tight clothes and injecting around the waist/beltline 8. Make sure Fuzeon is room temperature and clear before injecting

Good luck and let me know if I can help at any time. Thanks for attending the support group and sharing yourself with others. Carol
