		fusion injections Dec 17, 2005 My only alternative left for me is fusion. I've heard horror stories about the injection sites. Do you know anything about the new injector? (bio 2000?) Also, I am soooo skinny (all veins, no fat at all(severe lypo)). Am I hopeless for fusion? Please help.


		Response from Mr. Kurtyka I would not say you are "hopeless for Fuzeon" but but I am concerned about using Fuzeon based on how you describe yourself with no fat and all veins because you do need to inject Fuzeon into subcutaneous fat! You may have a hard time finding sites. Some people have been able to use their upper arms and/or buttocks as alternative sites if you don't have enough fat in your abdomen and thighs. If you have someone to help you with injections, you may find some sites that you would not be able to easily use on your own. Other options (besides Fuzeon) might include TMC114 (now in expanded access) and some of the CCR5 antagonists or integrase inhibitors that in clinical trials.
