sin
Jan 31, 2000

Will God hold it against me for being gay, and having aids, or will he forgive me, and accept me into his kingdom?

Response from Father DeMartini

Dear Friend---Thank you for your question. My image of God is a wise and compassionate parent who desperately wants what is best for us. Further, my Catholic faith teaches me that God gave us Jesus who faced humiliation, suffering and death on the cross to conquer sin and death for all people for all time. Our invitation and responsibility is to accept the love that is there no matter what is our sexual orientation , our HIV status, our education or ethnicity. I hope that in prayer and reading the Sacred Books you can come to your own conclusion about God's love and redemption in your life. I keep you in my prayers. Fr. Rod
