| God and Homosexuals Mar 1, 1999 There seems to be a lot of conflicting information around about God's attitude to homosexuals, the homosexual lifestyle and homosexual acts. I know that God loves us all equally, yet the way people live their lives pleases (and displeases) him differently. My question is this: does God approve of homosexual acts? Can I please have an answer that gets to the point, rather than one that talks about "different interpreations" of the bible, etc. Regards |

Response from Rev. Pieters
God created us as sexual beings. God created many people as heterosexual. God created a minority of people as homosexual. God loves us all equally, and does not condemn our sexual expressions of love, be they homosexual or heterosexual. God is love, and where love is, God is. The point is, God gave us our sexuality, be it directed at the same gender or the other gender. How could God condemn us for the way we were created by God? God loves us, and we know God through our loving. Yes, God approves of homosexual acts which are born of love, just as God approves of heterosexual acts which are born of love. God loves us all, and gives us the capacity to express our love physically. This is a blessing, not a curse! |
