una duda que me inquieta

Dr Santana: mi duda es la siguiente, si se derrama una gota de sangre infectada por VIH sobre algun alimento que es consumido por otra persona, esta puede infectarse? mi pregunta es porque una persona que cocinaba para mi, resulto ser seropositiva y ahora tengo miedo de que pudiese haber transmitido la infeccion por algun alimento .ya que suelen suceder cortadas en los dedos con cuchillos o algo asi.
