Falso negativo con tratamiento? Nov 30, 2011 Buenas tardes doctor, quisiera preguntarle si estando bajo tratamiento retroviral y carga indetectable si me hacen una prueba de ELISA arrojaria un falso negativo? Jose |

 Buenas tardes José. Una vez positivo, siempre positivo, no importa si la carga viral es indetectable o no. La prueba del VIH y la carga viral miden dos cosas distintas. La primera busca anticuerpos producidos por el sistema inmunitario en respuesta a una infección por VIH mientras la segunda detecta la presencia del virus verdadero en sangre. Indetectable solamente significa que la prueba no puede detectar un nivel bajo del virus que está por debajo del umbral del examen. Ojalá que esta información te fuera de utilidad.
