Elisa positivo y Western blot negativo Jun 19, 2009 Hace dos meses me practiqué una prueba de VIH que salió reactiva (4.1 sobre 1). Me hice un Westeern blot inmediatamente y el resultado fue negativo. Mis 3 parejas anteriores de 6 años atrás son negativos, pero tengo mucha confusión porque dicen que es necesario que me practique otra prueba para estar 100% segura. En todo caso, yo no sé si tengo algún otro virus que generara reacción cruzada. He leido en internet y lo que puede generar un falso positivo es igual de terrible que el VIH (lupus, disfunción renal crónica, etc). Mi pregunta es si necesito otra prueba y qué puede estar causando interferencia. No estoy embarazada. Muchas gracias¡¡¡ |

 Hola, Te tengo solamente noticias buenas: Eres VIH negativa Y tu resultado no significa un "falso positivo." Eso requeriría no solamente un examen inicial reactivo (ELISA, EIA, prueba rápida, etc.) sino también un examen confirmatorio reactivo (Western Blot) en una persona no infectada por VIH. ¡Felicitaciones!
