DUDA SOBRE EL EXAMEN VHI May 28, 2009 ESTOY EMBARAZADA Y ME HICIERON UN EXAMEN DEL VHI EN EL CUAL EL PRIMER RESULTADO SALIO QUE EL HIV 1/2 TESTING ES REACTIVE Y EL HIV1 WESTERN BLOT EN NEGATIVO, Y ME HICIERON UN SEGUNDO EXAMEN Y LOS RESULTADOS FUERON LOS MISMOS. MI PREGUNTA ES PORQUE TIENEN QUE HACER NUEVAMENTE EXAMENES CADA MES. TENGO RIESGO DE CONTRAER LA ENFERMEDAD? |

 El embarazo puede asociarse con una prueba ELISA falsa positiva debido a la presencia de anticuerpos de reactividad cruzada. Claro que es tu situación. Una prueba ELISA positiva más una prueba Western Blot negativa es igual a VIH negativo. Eres VIH negativa; no tienes que hacerte más exámenes. Dr. Steve |
