 Sí, deberías hacerte un genotipo (una prueba de resistencia que busca mutaciones de tu virus que pueden conferir resistencia a los antirretrovirales) si estás pensando seriamente en comenzar tratamiento. Y mi opinión es que deberías pensar seriamente en hacer exactamente eso porque tu número absoluto de CD4 y también tu porcentaje están muy cerca de los umbrales en las directrices de tratamiento actuales -- 350 y el 14% respectivamente. Además, muchos expertos, incluyendo yo mismo, ahora son de la opinión de que es mejor un umbral más alto -- 500. El resultado del genotipo ayudará a ti y a tu médico especialista en VIH a escoger el régimen más eficaz. Mucha suerte y un fuerte abrazo. Dr. Steve |
