 Existen 2 tipos de VIH (1-2).Existen variantes (clades) A,B,C,D,E,F.. M,N,O y formas recombinantes las cuales en especial la O son dificiles de detectar por Elisa, no obstante estas variantes son poco frecuentes y se encuentran geograficamente en partes del Africa y el Mediterraneo. A mi entender se pueden detectar con ensayos de Western Blot y PCR. |
