Deteccion Genoma Proviral

Estimado dr. Santana. Es seguro y confiable un HIV-1- PCR para Deteccion de Genoma Proviral, a los 10 dias y medio luego de la exposicion?. Es necesario confirmar con otro Test? Desde ya muchas gracias y perdon por escribir a este foro, pero es el unico en castellano. Un cordial abrazo desde Argentina!

Un PCR reconoce secuencia de amino acidos adscritas y especificas al virus, la amplifica e identifica. No me parece que detecte DNA de genoma proviral especificamente ya que necesita virus integrado y en replicacion. No obstante me parece que la sensitividad del PCR es tal que ya a los 10 dias puede detectar virus en replicacion.
