Elisa y anticuerpos

Doctor la prueba de Elisa para VIH busca anticuerpos especificos para el VIH los que despues de la seroconvercion y haberse creado se mantienen en forma permanente o para siempre,a diferencia de los anticuerpos p24 de VIH, que he leido pueden desaparecer despues de algunos aos, es correcto esto?...Gracias.
