Quiero saber si es recomendado comenzar tratamiento antiretroviral en una persona con CD4 de 925 y una carga viral de 55.000 copias.
Si no se comienza el tratamiento q repercusiones tendria el sujeto? Estamos hablando de un señor de 62 años de edad con problemas mentales, posiblemente un trastorno bipolar q se exacerbo con el diagnostico de VIH

Hola,
Según las directrices de tratamiento actuales, es muy razonable retrasar la toma de antirretrovirales con un recuento de CD4 de 925 y una carga viral por debajo de 100.000 copias. Sin embargo, sigue siendo muy importante controlar el recuento de CD4, el porcentaje de CD4 y la carga viral a intervalos regulares, como cada tres o cuatro meses.
