Dr.Steven: le escribo desde Chile, un saludo cariñoso para ud.
Mi pregunta es la siguiente: una vez que se declara la lipodistrofia avanza sin dentenerse o llega un punto en que se estabiliza?

Buenos días chileno,
Según. Si se pudiera identificar algo específico que esté agravando estos cambios corporales conocidos colectivamente como la lipodistrofia, tal como un fármaco antirretroviral asociado a la pérdida de grasa (la lipoatrofia) -- zidovudina, estavudina -- o uno asociado a la hinchazón de pecho y/o estómago (la lipohipertrofia) -- los inhibidores de la proteasa -- pues sí, sería posible detenerla o incluso reversar parcialmente los cambios corporales por sustituir el culpable por otro antirretroviral.
