doctor , e leido en algunas paginas de internet que la mariguana es beneficiosa para el tratamiento, que efectos secundarios puede causar, es recomendable si o no.

La marihuana es una hierba cuyo nombre científico es Cannabis sativa. Se usa medicinalmente para reducir el dolor e incrementar el apetito. No tengo que explicarle que también se usa con fines no medicinales en todo el mundo...
El principio activo de la marihuana es el tetrahidrocannabinol o THC.
La marihuana también se usa para el tratamiento del glaucoma (incremento de la presión intraocular) y para prevenir el vómito inducido por la quimioterapia. La marihuana es ilegal en la mayoría de los Estados de los Estados Unidos. Recientemente el Tribunal Supremo de los estados Unidos decidió que de acuerdo a la ley federal el uso de la marihuna (fumada) es ilegal.
En su lugar los médicos prescriben una medicina que se llama Marinol que tiene el mismo principio activo que la marihuana, pero que se toma en pastillas. Algunos pacientes prefieren la marihuana fumada que el marinol.
A veces prescribimos marihuana (Marinol) a pacientes con VIH para estimular el apetito, ayudar a ganar peso y reducir la nausea y el vómito asociado con algunas medicinas.
La marihuana fumada tiene los mismos efectos secundarios del tabaco, además de producir una sensación de euforia y ocasionalmente desequilibiro que puede ser problemática si tiene que manejar un coche o una máquina. No parece que haya muchas interacciones entre la marihuana y la medicación antiretroviral, y la marihuana no tienen efectos sobre la carga viral.
