Dr. Natterstad.
SOy una mujer de 36 aos que frecuentemente hace ejercicios. Quisiera saber en que medida la L-Carnitina ayuda a reducir la grasa abdominal. Si la L_carnitina al quemar grasa afecta a la perdida de grasa facial. Tambien quiero saber si es correcto tomar Creatina antes del ejercicio. Y por ultimo quisiera que me dijera si con la terapia que sigo que es la de Zerit, Videx y Sustiva es correcto tomar la carnitina y la creatina. Agradezco su respuesta para el beneficio no solo mio sino de otros pacientes.

Hola,
La grasa abdominal es un problema real e importante para muchas personas viviendo con VIH. Lo más importante es que haga ejercicios, como está haciendo. Estudios recientes han demostrado que el ejercicio físico puede ayudar a reducir la grasa troncular. Que yo sepa, no existen ningunos datos que sugieren que la carnatina ayuda a hacer lo mismo. En cuanto a la creatina, lo más importante es que siga las instrucciones adjuntas y que beba bastante agua. Mientras está tomando la creatina, necesita mantenerse bien hidratado. No hay ningunas interacciones conocidas entre carnitina y los fármacos antirretrovirales. Bueno, siga ejerciendo. Eso es mío consejo de despedida. Buena suerte y felices fiestas.
