Dr Santana: los sintomas de diarreas, sudoracion nocturna etc. que aparecen al principio de la infeccion causada por VIH se prolongan a lo largo de la enfermedad o solo son sintomas que ocurren al principio y luego desaparecen? quisiera saber tambien si la enfermedad de sida se presenta de forma mas agresiva en hombres o mujeres? le agradecere su informacion. gracias.

Los síntomas suelen aparecer en la infección temprana, pero también pueden aparecer asociados a infecciones oportunistas en los estadíos bien avanzados de la enfermedad.
Patofisiológicamente o en palabras simples desde el punto de vista del daño y la agresividad que causa el virus esto tiende a verse mayormente asociado en mujeres por la exposición en cantidades grandes del virus, las cuales conllevan a una mayor progresión en las mismas.
