		herpes zoster Dec 10, 2008 hola doctor tengo 26 a�os y me diagnosticaron herpes zoster... lo que queria preguntarle es si tiene algo que ver con los primeros sintomas del hiv. quiero decir si por que me salio este herpes podria se�alar que me contagie de hiv por favor necesito su respuesta me recomienda hacerme un test? gracias


Advertisement Respuesta del Dr. Natterstad Hola, Es verdad que el riesgo de desarrollar herpes zoster en las personas viviendo con VIH es entre 15 y 25 veces m�s alto que el de las personas seronegativas. Sin embargo, claro que esto no quiere decir que cada caso de herpes zoster ocurre en una persona infectada por VIH. Muchos individuos sanos desarrollan herpes zoster sin tener otro factor de riesgo, tales como inmunosupresi�n o edad avanzada, por ejemplo. Lo esencial, mi amigo, es que si te has puesto en peligro de contraer el VIH, hazte una prueba de anticuerpos, tal como una ELISA, para descartar definitivamente una infecci�n por VIH.
