doctor quisiera saver cual es el periodo de ventana porque unos dicen que a las cuatro semanas otros que a las seis pero estoy vien confundido y quisiera saver cual es el periodo de ventana que la prueva elisa puede detectar anticuerpos al 100% despues de la infeccion porfavor contestenme porque estoy muy preocupado gracias a todos por sus servicios

Hola,
La demora media desde el tiempo de infección hasta una prueba de anticuerpos positiva (ELISA, por ejemplo) es entre 10 y 14 días. En la inmensa mayoría de situaciones, o sea el 99.5%, la prueba ELISA puede detectar los anticuerpos dentro de tres meses después de la infección. Por eso, se considera tres meses el periodo de ventana. Solamente cuando la relación fue de un riesgo muy alto, como, por ejemplo, el coito anal pasivo con una pareja conocida ser seropositiva, es una prueba negativa a los seis meses, si la a los tres meses fue negativa, necesaria para descartar definitivamente una infección por VIH.
