Syphilis VIH

Hola, Dr. Un condon se rompio. Una lesion papulosa me aparecio (abril 28) en el glande (5mm), a los dos dias empezo a ulcerarse, no era dolorosa, pense en sifilis y consulte y luego recibi tratamiento con Azithromycin 1gramo dosis unica y Cefixime 400mg dia por 7 dias. Me practicaron una ELISA y VDRL a los 7dias de inciado el tratamiento. Mi pregunta es que tan probable es que las dos pruebas se alteren por el tratamiento.
Me hice un ELISA el 11 de Abril que fue negativo. Ademas quiero saber si el tratamiento es correcto pues he estado leyendo sobre la falla del tratamiento de sifilis con Azithromicina ademas de la dosis (solo un gramo)que me fue preescrita. De verdad muchas grcias por su tiempo.

Hola amigo,
El tratamiento no influye en los resultados de una ELISA, pero claro que influye en los resultados de una prueba VDRL, el examen serológico usado no sólo para diagnosticar la sífilis pero también para seguir la respuesta al tratamiento. Aunque 7 días es en realidad demasiado temprano para ver una respuesta. Sin embargo, por tu relación sin protección, necesitarás una prueba ELISA a los tres meses para descartar definitivamente una infección por VIH.
Es bien correcto lo que has estado leyendo sobre el tratamiento de sífilis. A causa de la prevalencia aumentando de casos de sífilis resistente a azithromycin, no se lo recomienda más. El tratamiento recomendado es la penicilina inyectada intramuscularmente.
