Hola, acabo de recibir los resultados de mis primeros analisis despues de comenzar tratamiento (SUSTIVA + TRUVADA, tomadas unicamente por la noche) mis resulatados antes de comenzar fueron CD4 280 y CV 110,000, con tendencia a subir (Llevo infectado desde junio del 2003 y detectado en Octubre del mismo año y me habia mantenido bastante bien pero mis dos ultimos resultados arrojaron una tendencia a la baja en mis CD4 y un aumento en mi CV ) bajo supervision medica trimestral. Mi preocupación es que apesar de que comence el tratamiento mis primeros resultados arrojan un baja grande de mis CD4 120 y aunque mi CV bajo a 440 no es indetectable. Doctor usted cree que es normal que sigan bajando mis CD4 ? Cree que una sola pastilla de cada medicamento es suficiente o debo aumentar la dosis? He comenzado a tomar Bactrim por mis resultados tan bajos. Muchas gracias por su atención y ayuda.

Hola,
El hecho de que tu carga viral disminuyera desde 110.000 copias hasta 440 copias es tremendo e indica que tu régimen está funcionando. Sí, no es indetectable, pero está en camino. Se ve el efecto antiviral máximo entre 4 y 6 meses después de comenzar un régimen. Por tanto, deberías esperar la indetectabilidad dentro de este período de tiempo. En cuanto a tus CD4 de 120, no te preocupes. Un resultado aislado no significa mucho y el número absoluto de CD4 puede variar mucho del momento de una prueba a él de otra. Estoy curioso por saber lo que fue tu porcentaje de CD4, porque tiende a variar menos. Sin embargo, te recomiendo que simplemente controles tus CD4 y carga viral nuevamente un mes después de los últimos. Deberías continuar controlando la carga viral mensualmente hasta que llegue a un nivel indetectable.
