hola tengo 32 años soy seropositivo recien diagnosticado, mi conteo de cd4 es de 241 y aun o tengo el resultado de la carga viral, mi infectologo me ofrecio el tratamiento, pero antes quizo realizarme los examenes de rutina, quiero saber como es eso de prueba de resistencia, quisiera hacermela? pues deseo que se escoja un buen tratamiento para mi... y bueno Doctor con cd4 de 241 es necesario iniciar tratamiento antirretroviral? le agradezco su respuesta. Gracias.

Hola amigo,
Me parece que estás en manos de un médico que sabes verdaderamente lo que está haciendo. Estoy completamente de acuerdo con él en sus dos recomendaciones:
1. Realizarte la prueba de resistencia, un genotipo, antes de empezar tratamiento para permitirles a ustedes escoger el mejor tratamiento.
2. Comenzar tratamiento con un conteo de CD4 por debajo de 350 células. (Puede ser que aumentemos este umbral en fecha próxima. Pronto, la pregunta puede ser cuándo no empezar tratamiento más que cuándo empezarlo.)
Mucha suerte y no dudes en escribirme nuevamente cuándo tienes los resultados de tu prueba de resistencia si quieres mi opinión acerca de los componentes específicos de tu nuevo régimen.
