Agradezco de antemano su tiempo y respuesta.
Adquirí VIH hace menos de 9 meses y fue detectado hace un mes. En mi primer resultado el CD4 está en 672 y la carga viral en 65400. Mi doctor afirma que debo iniciar tratamiento (convivir - efavirenz). Mi pregunta es si no es muy pronto para tomar la decisión de iniciar el tratamiento tomando en cuenta que sólo he han hecho un conteo?

Hola,
Es muy pronto para iniciar el tratamiento no sólo porque te han hecho un solo conteo, sino también porque tus cifras no llenan los requisitos básicos, es decir las directrices de tratamiento. Los CD4 de 672 sobrepasan mucho el umbral de 350, por debajo de lo cual el tratamiento se recomienda. No debes iniciar tratamiento con Combivir ni con efavirenz ni incluso con poción de mandrágora. Repite tus pruebas tres meses después de tu primer resultado. Es todo.
