Nuevamente me contacto con ud. a fin de solicitarme su opinion al respecto del articulo publicado el dia 06/07/2007 en el diario argentino INFOBAE (http://www.infobae.com/contenidos/325379-100803-0-Nueva-medicina-que-podría-ser-efectiva-contra-el-sida), transmito el link referido. Querida Maria,
El artículo que citaste trata del medicamento Etravirina (también conocido como TMC 125), un no nucleósido de segunda generación. Es decir que podría ser una alternativa para algunas personas infectadas con un virus resistente a los no nucleósidos de primera generación, efavirenz (Sustiva, Stocrin) y nevirapina (Viramuna). Este nuevo fármaco se debería aprobar por la Agencia de la Alimentación y el Medicamento de EE UU (FDA por sus siglas en inglés) en menos de un año. Los resultados de los ensayos clínicos han sido muy alentadores y estamos impacientes a su aprobación.
