buenas tardes doctor, mi pregunta es referida al tratamiento que estoy tomando en la actualidad,llevo con el vih desde el año 86, soy hemofilico, en la actualidad tomo un combinado de videx,zerit y kaletra, llevo más de un año con la carga viral indetectable y cd4 de 186;¿crees que deberia tomar otro tratamiento que me vendria mejor? y la otra duda es que creo que tengo muy bajas las defensas y me gustaria que me dieras algun consejo para esto.

Hola amigo,
Si estás tolerando bien el régimen y no hay evidencia de toxicidad, con una carga viral indetectable, te aconsejaría que sigas tomándolo. Sin embargo, con un recuento de CD4 por debajo de 200 células, debes iniciarte, si ya no lo has hecho, la profilaxis de la neumonía por Pneumocystis carinii (PCP, por sus siglas en inglés). La combinación de trimetoprima-sulfametoxazol (Bactrim, Septra) se considera como fármaco de elección. Mucha suerte y un abrazo.
