mi pareja salio positivo con las bandas 120 41 65 pero luego en el segundo analisis no salio ninguna banda activa pero dicen que esta positivo quisiera saber si el herpes puede causar un falso positivo en wester blot gracias anticipadas

Buenos días,
La presencia de las bandas gp120/160 y gp41 sí satisface los criterios para un resultado positivo. Sin embargo, el segundo análisis, sin ninguna banda, claramente supone un resultado negativo. Esta adivinanza diagnóstica en la que tu pareja se encuentra es un buen ejemplo de cuando otro método de descartar una infección por VIH es apropiado. Recomiendo que tu pareja se haga una prueba de PCR-ADN cualitativa. Este examen puede ser muy útil, no como una prueba de rutina utilizada en el diagnóstico de VIH, sino para aclarar resultados confusos, tal como en el caso de tu pareja.
No, el herpes no influye en el resultado de una prueba del VIH.
