DR. tengo 40 años ESTOY PREOCUPADO PUES HACE MAS DE UN AÑO ME HICE LA PRUEBA DE VIH Y SALIO INDETERMINADO,Y PRUEBA PARA DETECTAR HEPATITIS A, B O C. ESTOS ULTIMOS SALIERON NEGATIVOS.QUIERE DECIR ENTONCES QUE HAY ALTAS PROBABILIDADES DE ESTAR INFECTADO POR EL RESULTADO indeterminado DEL VIH? AGRADEZCO SU RESPUESTA ESTOY ANGUSTIADO. TENGO 4O AÑOS

Querido angustiado,
Las probabilidades de estar infectado a la cara de un resultado indeterminado dependen en gran parte del nivel de riesgo. Las personas con resultados indeterminados en las categorías de riesgo bajo son serpositivas casi nunca. Repite el examen. Al fin y al cabo hace más de un año que te hiciste la primera prueba.
