Hola! soy un estudiando de biologia español de 20 años. Me gustaria saber como evita la nevirapina la infección por HIV al feto, he buscado mucho por internet pero no encuentro la respuesta. Gracias!.

Verdaderamente la Nevirapina al igual que los Nucleosidos Analogos com el AZT, Epivir etc, cruzan en buenas cantidades de concentracion la placenta. Sin embargo lo que verdaderamente protege al feto-bebe por nacer es la disminucion de la carga viral en el periodo periparto y posteriormente se le da al bebe durante las primeras semanas de nacido en el caso del AZT. En el caso de Nevirapina la dosis es limitada a una o dos.
