QUISIERA SABER SI TENDRIA NIVEL BAJO DE LEUCOCITOS HABIENDO CONTRAIDO HIV HACE MAS DE 15 MESES O INCLUSO 2 AÑOS. NO LO TENGO PERO ESTOY TEMEROSO YA QUE TENGO NIVEL BAJO DE PLAQUETAS (137000). GRACIAS

No necesariamente. En la infeccion por VIH a menos que la infeccion este bien avanzada (mas de 10 años aprox) o haya evidencia de infeccion con Hepatitis B o C concurrente, el contaje de linfocitos tiende a estar preservado.
Las plaquetas son otro asunto. Al presente parecen estar normales ya que pueden haber fluctuaciones por debajo de 150,000 que es el marco de referencia establecido.
De continuar esta tendencia a disminuir entonces cabe la posibilidad de que el VIH haya causado una reaccion autoinmune de formacion de anticuerpos antiplaquetas , en otras palabras los auto anticuerpos van dirigidos a destruir o comerse las plaquetas. En estos casos debe ser evaluado por un hematologo o infectologo para el tratamiento adecuado.
