etapa terminal

hola
tengo un amigo le diagnosticaron vih, pero ya bajo mucho de peso, ya noquiere comer, le dan muchas diarreas, se le olvidan las cosas, ytiene como tres meses con esos sintomas ademas de fuertes dolores en el abdomen, quiero saber si esta en etapa terminal

Eso dependera de los contajes de cd4 (linfocitos) y la cantidad de años que lleva infectado.
Los sintomas que me refiere sugieren una infeccion cronica oportunista (perdida de peso, diarreas, perdida de apetito, memoria) no obstante, esto no implica que necesariamente este en etapas terminales.
Los linfocitos cd4 para considerarse en etapas terminales y finales deben estar por debajo de las 50 celulas aproximadamente aunque esto es variable ya que muchos pacientes pueden estar completamente estables y practicamente sin sintomas aun con contajes por debajo de esto.
