Hola Doc !
Soy Diego, desde Chile. Es la primera vez que escribo. Lo elijo a usted por dos razones:
1. Su Actitud Mental Positiva
2. Su sentido del humor
3. Su amor por el piano (Yo estudio como medio de distraccion)
Doctor, soy positivo sin tratamiento aún. Hace unas semanas ví en CNN una noticia respecto a un medicamento que se aprobó en USA consistente en una pastilla para aquellos VIH+ sin terapia y que permitiría no desarrollar nunca la enfermedad. ¿Sabe algo de eso?
Que aconseja al respecto?

En parte, tienes razón: ahora en EEUU hay un tratamiento contra el VIH en una única pastilla diaria que combina tres fármacos antirretrovirales Truvada (una combinación de Viread + Emtriva) + Sustiva. Este tratamiento no es para todos los portadores, pero para ellos que tienen un virus sensitivo a estos fármacos, es una verdadera bendición.
Sin Embargo, Diego, la declaración que "permitiría no desarrollar nunca la enfermedad" es prematura. Pero, lo que se puede declarar es que todo parece indicar que algunas personas positivas pueden marchar muy bien durante muchos años tomando esta píldora de combinación. Y si la hora llega en la que necesitas pensar seriamente en empezar un régimen anti-VIH, es sumamente probable que esta píldora de combinación sea una buena opción.
