		Debo inicar tratamiento antiretroviral Oct 23, 2009 Buenas tardes, mi pregunta es la siguiente: Hace dos meses me diagnosticaron como VIH positivo, esta semana me realice los examenes de carga viral y DC4 para los cuales los resultados fueron de: Carga viral: 70010 copias/ml CD4: 479 Deberia inciar con el tratamiento


Advertisement Respuesta del Dr. Natterstad Hola, Ante todo, como he escrito muchas veces en este foro, no bases ninguna decisi�n, particularmente una tan importante como cuando empezar tratamiento, en un conjunto de datos (o sea solamente una carga viral y un recuento de CD4). Te sugiero que repites estas pruebas en pocas semanas. Si los resultados son similares, o sea si tus CD4 est�n nuevamente por debajo de 500, piensa seriamente en iniciar con el tratamiento. Muchos m�dicos especialistas en VIH (incluyendo yo mismo) est�n utilizando hoy en d�a el umbral de 500 para tomar la decisi�n de empezar tratamiento. Las directrices de tratamiento oficiales dicen 350; sin embargo, la tendencia es definitivamente empezar tratamiento m�s precozmente. Mucha suerte y por favor mantenme al corriente. Un gran abrazo.
