		contagio con neumonia Aug 10, 2007 hola doctor steven! tengo una consulta para hacerle, mi pareja es hiv+ y todavia vive con los padres y la hermana, y hace unos dias le detectaron a la hermana neumonia, y me da mucho miedo que lo puedo contagiar, por eso queria que usted me diga en que forma ella le podria pasar la neumonia a mi pareja. desde ya muchisimas gracias doctor, espero su respuesta. Advertisement Respuesta del Dr. Natterstad Buenos d�as Lucas, La propensi�n de tu pareja a la neumon�a de tu hermana depende de varios factores, incluyendo el tipo de neumon�a (en concreto, cu�l bacteria o virus est� caus�ndola) y la condici�n del sistema inmunitario (los CD4) de tu pareja. Claro que un recuento de CD4 m�s alto significa menos propensi�n. Tambi�n, si tu pareja recibiera la vacuna antineumoc�cica, como todas las personas seropositivas deben hacer cada cinco a�os, su probabilidad de contagiarse de este tipo de neumon�a bacterial ser�a significativamente m�s bajo. Otros medios para bajar la probabilidad de contagiarse son lavarse las manos con frecuencia y minimizar el contacto directo, pero ten en cuenta que con el tiempo, particularmente si su hermana est� tomando tratamiento apropiado, la contagiosidad cae.
