diferencias entre hiv1 y hiv2

hola nuevamente te mando este mail desde argentina te conte que me hicieron un elisa con resultados positivos ahora despues de confirmarlo con el western blot que tambien me dio reactivo me dicen que soy portadora de hiv1 yo quiciera saber que diferencias hay entre el hiv1 y hvi2, bueno desde ya muchas gracias por haberme contestado la pregunta anterior.

Aquí está mi respuesta en pocas palabras:

Como VIH-1, VIH-2 es un retrovirus que causa una deficiencia inmune por reducir las células CD4. Se lo encuentra principalmente en el África del Oeste. Comparado al VIH-1, VIH-2 es menos transmisible, se asocia a una carga viral más baja y se asocia a una tasa más lenta de descenso de células CD4 y de progresión clínica de la enfermedad.
