Response from Dr. Henry
I have seen several patients in my practice that have that same complaint. In a couple of cases the swelling was limited to the parotid gland and they had a mild-moderate cystic condition in the parotid glands that was aggravated both by the mechanics of chewing and the stimulation to the parotid from food in the mouth. Also there are some conditions of the "jaw-joint" that can do that as well. You might benefit from an evaluation from a good ENT doc. KH | |||
