Avandia 4mg.
Mar 30, 2000

Hello, I have been taking this pill. I am a diabetic. I have tender to touch skin. It starts in my hip and ends at me knee cap. I was wondering if this could be a side effect of this drug. I have never felt like this before. Thank you.

Response from Dr. Henry

You don't mention what your HIV situation is or what HIV drugs you are taking. Localized skin tenderness (both sides or just one side) would be an unusual side effect of Avandia. I would be more concerned about some sort of neuropathy perhaps. Keith Henry, M.D.
