|lymphnodes causes rashes?
Jun 8, 2001
Could reactive lymphnodes besides the neck (under the jaw) causes itchiness and/or redness or allergic rashes?? How about swollen lymphnodes?
To a normal person, could he/she feels and touch lymphnodes below the jaw on the neck by touching it??
Hope for your kind reply. Thankn you. John

For most conditions resulting in enlarged lymph nodes, the overlying skin is not involved with any type of rash. Many conditions which result in enlarged lymph nodes can cause the lymph nodes to be easily felt by the person themselves. For example, it is not unusual for lymph nodes in the groin area to be enlarged chronically in many people with no disease process. Enlarged lymph nodes generally need to be evaluated by an experienced clinician to determine if there are other features which would warrant concern and further evaluation. KH
