Response from Dr. Henry
Odimune (called Atripla in US containing efavirenz, emtricitabine, and tenofovir) is an effective HIV Medication that is proven to protect your health and decrease the risk for a baby to be infected. There was concern about whether efavirenz posed some risk to the baby but experience has lessened that concern since most women and their babies who take Odimune during pregnancy are healthy-recommend discussing your concerns with your HIV provider.KH
