Supplements for Erectile Dysfunction
Jan 31, 2014
Hi Dr. I am currently on Lamividune, Zidovodine & Nevirapine and VL has been well suppressed to undetectable for for than 2 years now. Just wonder if it is safe to take supplements to improve erectile dysfunction whuch contain the following ingredients: catuaba, saw palmetto, cordyceps, pumpkin seed extract, peach fruit, tribulus terrestris, horny goat & fructose. Would be most grateful to receive your kind advice on this. Thanks.
Response from Dr. Henry
Generally those supplements care OK for ED with your HIV regimen though not studies, there may be some unexpected interactions (so inform your HIV doctor or pharmacist), and the actual safety and effectiveness of those supplements has not be proven in any adequate published study. KH
