| UTI Dec 19, 2012 Hi doc Henry, so glad that u can find time to respond since schedule clinic dates are so long away. As it relates to the frequent urination problem I told u about and PEP treatment, my doc switched me from Septrine to Cipro antibiotics and no relief day 2 now. I am now thinking if I really had a UTI since an antibiotic like Cipro would have brought relief. I have 3 days more on the atripla PEP and hoping that the symptoms will subside after PEP. Do u think the Cipro would have helped the problem or something more like Fluoro antibiotic? I am thinking of doing a urine culture. Pls advise. |

Response from Dr. Henry
Cipro would help some cause of causes of dysuria but others (such as chlamydia or gonorrhea) would often not respond to a course of Ciprofloxacin. KH | |||||||||
