 IL-7 shows some modest potential but is not close to being ready for routine clinical use to boost immune system in standard HIV situations. There are 1-3 reports of functional cures in the setting of expensie and dangerous treatment for cancer/malignancies with chemotherapy/transplantation. A lot has been learned from those experiences but application to standard patients remains impractical for the time being but there is renewed enthusiasm to try and find more practical approaches.
