|LAST STAGES OF HIV
Nov 21, 2012
MY MOTHER HAS HAD HIV FOR THE PAST 20 yrs if not a littlemore and she has had AIDS for almost 2 years now.She just got out of the hospital after a week of motor being able to eat solid foods.I know they told her the count but she won't tell me.... she says she's having a blood transfusion... I'm online doing research on it and it does not add up??? Are her days numbered? Or will a blood transfusion help?

Prognosis depends on many factors such as presence of AIDS-related complication, major organ health (ie kidney and liver), age, other health problems (such as cancer or diabetes). If the bone marrow is not producing enough blood cells then a blood transfusion may provide temporary improvement in symptoms related to anemia. KH
