HIV DRUGS AND DONG QUAI Apr 26, 2012 Hie Doctor, I am currently on Kivexa and Sustiva. I have blocked fallopian tubes and would like to get pregnant.I found out on the internet that Dong Quai can help with blocked fallopian tubes. Does Dong Quai interfere with the drugs I am currently taking? Thank you |

 I would have a low level of confidence that Dong quai would be either safe or effective but data is very limited. There is a concern about a possible drug interaction between Dong Quai and warfarin which suggests to me that there could be an interaction between efavirenz and Dong Quai-there are no formal drug interaction studies to my knowledge.
