Response from Dr. Henry
The prognosis for a HIV+ person stopping HIV treatment varies widely and depends on a large number of HIV-related (CD4 count, history of AIDS) and non-HIV factors (age, risk for other health problems, presence of disease like hepatitis B/C, diabetes, cancer, heart disease, family history, smoking) so answer is highly individualized-recommend you discuss with your HIV provider.
