Response from Dr. Henry
No simple answer there-bone/joint pain is a side effect of Egrifta though the rate may be lower than with standard growth hormone. Decreasing dose or stopping Egrift usually results in decreased pain if due to the Egrifta but then see reversal of any modest fat benefit from the Egrifta. Drugs like ibuprogen or naproxyn, acetominophen, Cox-s inhibitors, or sometimes narocotics may be needed for pain control. Assessment for other potential causes is warranted as well. KH | |||||||||
