Sex with HIV Negative Partner
Dec 8, 2010
I was tested positive but my hubby is negative, but i want children, what will i do about this since he seems to be afraid of making love with me, even when he does he make sure he uses condom. what is the solution?
Response from Dr. Henry
That is an important issue. Options to safely conceive a child for HIV+ men/HIV- women include starting with effective HIV treatment for the male and then some combination of the following: careful timed sex without a condom during ovulation, use of judicious Pre-PEP and post-NPEP until pregnant, sperm washing, and in vitro fertilization approaches. A high % of women can safely conceive in well managed situations. KH
