| PN Aug 25, 2010 I was on lamuvidine, stocrin,stavudine,and purbac for a year, but developed PN and liposdrophy,I then began taking truvada and stocrin, it's been two months now, but the PN is not geeting better at all. Is there something else i can do about this, cause it's really driving me crazy the pain is unbearable sometimes |

The stavudine you had been taking may have contributed to peripheral neuropathy. Recovery can be slow and in some cases may not occur to much degree though usually will get slowly better (can take many months). Your current regimen is usually more nerve friendly and it would be difficult to recommend a different regimen that would help matters more with any confidence. Looking for other contributing causes and direct treatment for the symptoms (such as analgesics, topicals, acupuncture, some agents such as gabepentin or some antidepressants). Management can be very challenging and frustrating. KH | ||||||||||
