| Does a daily glass of wine affect the effectiveness of my HIV treatment? Jul 7, 2010 Hi! I've been on Isentress and Truvada for the past 4 months. My CD4 count and viral load has leveled off around 250 and VL at 300. I'm just concerned that my lifestyle has a direct effect on my body's response to the treatment and these includes a daily glass or two of red or white wine, 5-6 hours of sleep daily, and a busy daily work schedule. Thanks. |

Response from Dr. Henry
Modest use of alcohol usually OK with your HIV regimen. If your have underlying liver disease (ie hepatitis C) then alcohol intake needs to be restricted for many patients. KH | |||||||||
