In most situations HIV+ pxs with CD4 count at 190 would be offered HIV treatment even if they have hepatitis C. A regimen would be chosen that would be expected to be generally well tolerated by the liver. You should discuss your options with your HIV specialist. Treament for hepatitis C,if determined to be needed, can often be deferred until the HIV is under good control and meds are being well tolerated. KH | |||||||||
